HAPPY BIRTHDAY ISRAEL

Israel is 60 and everyone should make sure to celebrate
this momentous Yom Ha'Atzmaut.

Come celebrate at the Yom Ha'Atzmaut Party at Temple
Sunday, May 18 from 4:30pm-7:30pm

This wonderful event for all ages was a huge blast last year and is even bigger and better this year!

Don't miss...

  • face painting
  • an archaeological dig in Caesarea
  • ping pong ball toss in the Dead Sea
  • fishing in Herziliya, wall tumbling in Jericho
  • your own custom photo magnets in Jerusalem
  • Artist Colony in Safed
  • word searches
  • Israeli flag making
  • Hebrew Scripture writing
  • your own Hebrew Calendar birthday certificate
  • pizza
  • Israeli food
  • Israeli dancing
  • Israeli music
  • shopping for Israeli jewelry and Judaica
  • David Ben Gurion’s Independence speech

This will be great for the entire family. Why cook on Sunday night when you can make reservations and enjoy a great night out celebrating Israel’s 60th birthday instead? Bring your family, bring your friends. $20/adult and $15/child.

Other ways to celebrate:

*Buy Israel a present - Join ARZA and support the growth of Reform Judaism in the Jewish State
  *Read more about Israel today.
One article Rabbi Kaiserman found interesting is from the current
    issue of  Moment Magazine
*Come by Temple and take a photo with a camel in the social hall (really!)
  *
Read Ben Gurion's Independence Day Speech
*Plan ahead - August 2009 for Temple's next trip to Israel. Details to come, but start getting ready
