Keynote Speaker, Gerda Bikales, a former Temple Emanu-El member,  is the author of a memoir,

'Through the Valley of the Shadow of Death: A Holocaust Childhood'

It will be a powerful and memorable night of memory, music, and reflection.

as Children of Abraham 

with

Shamsi Ali, Spiritual Leader 
Jamaica Muslim Center, Queens

Imam Ali, a renowned Muslim scholar, has long
been active in interfaith activities, serving as an 
Advisory Board member to organizations including
the Tanenbaum Center, the Partnership of Faith,
and the Universal Clergy Coalition International.
Imam Ali was a participant in the International
Conference of Imams and Rabbis for Peace in Seville,
Spain and the first National Summit of Imams and
Rabbis of North America in 2007.


Imam Ali has lectured in synagogues and 
churches
around the country. He was chosen as one of seven
“most influential  religious leaders in New York City”
by New York Magazine and was a recipient of the
Ellis Island Medal of Honor Award in 2009 for his work
building bridges between religious communities in the city.

His latest book, "Sons of Abraham: A Candid Conversation
about the Issues That Divide and Unite Jews
and Muslims", was written with Rabbi Marc Schneier,
with a Foreword by President Bill Clinton.

anti-Semitic  exhibition on “Degenerate Art”
Session 3:  Lee Krasner and difficulties  women
had being associated with a male artist.
Session 4:  Eleanor Antin, a feminist fluxus artist

Dr. Tomlinson will be conducting an optional trip
to the Metropolitan Museum on Thursday, May 29.
$25 fee will cover bus transportation, museum
entrance, and docent tour led by Dr. Tomlinson.
